Chelsea Dominate Panathinaikos After a Slow Start
The game between Panathinaikos and Chelsea started off with Panathinaikos taking control in the first five minutes. However, what followed was 85 minutes, plus stoppage time, of pure Chelsea dominance.
In the first half, Chelsea controlled the play, though much of it was without creating direct threats. Still, they managed to break the deadlock midway through the half when Mudryk set up João Félix for a simple tap-in. While Chelsea could have added more to their tally, they lacked the cutting edge to capitalize fully.
The second half was a different story. Chelsea came out firing, netting three goals in the first 15 minutes, effectively ending the contest. Félix scored again, Mudryk got a well-deserved goal, and Nkunku sealed it with a penalty.
Both teams made substitutions after that, and Panathinaikos grabbed a consolation goal, but the result was never in doubt. Chelsea’s commanding performance ensured a comfortable win.
